An organisation structure is designed by each major process. “Process Owners” are identified for a process.

Process Based


  • Elimination of organisation “silos”
  • Increase in cooperation and coordination
  • Increase in accountability
  • Increase in customer-focus
  • Resources required are available  within the organisation
  • “One-stop-shopping” for utilities for a particular application


  • Often requires redesign of facilities
  • Requires change in “culture” for traditionally-organised cultures
  •  May require processes to ensure consistency in policy making and skill development
